Old is young
The funny part in life is that at some
point you stop wishing to live, and start waiting for its end. It's
not that life is bad it's rather a state of saturation that you
reach. People believe that such state shall be reached only when you
are old: when you have seen plenty, heard plenty, and felt plenty.
However, they are wrong. Old doesn't only signify the number of years
you spent living; one could get old while still being physically
young. It is not the philosophical concept that I am trying to
discuss here, it is the real deep meaning of old. The real sense
behind being old. To be old is to have heard plenty, seen plenty, and
experienced plenty indeed. Nonetheless, to go through this plenty of
situations doesn't necessarily mean that you have lived a lot. You
could have seen in a year, what another would see in ten. Thus, for
you to talk about age, don't imply that wisdom and maturation come
with it. We meet many elderlies who completely lost their sense, and
we meet middle agers who have lost hope and faith and are now acting
nonsense. Hence, let's stop tying youth to foolishness and elderly to
wisdom. What is wise for you is crazy for me, and vice versa.
Let's remove the numbers barriers that
could stop one from doing what he wants because he is “numerically”
unqualified...
We live in a world which rules have been set
by people who foresaw it differently from what it has really become,
and yet we can't alter the regulations in fear of either legal
punishment or social isolation... Pity us.
